I really need help on this

Hi,
I appreciate your quick responses on this forum. You are very helpful.

I just removed my Movie Studio 8 and replaced it with Platinum Pro Pak. I hope I can get used to the layout, but I am having slight problems in this upgrade.

When I click on the icon on the film clip to add an effect, nothing shows up. I can drag them from the tab window above, but the effects should be in the icon when I click on it.

Second, When I preview clip (it's set on auto), it plays realllly slow. I don't remember that happening with my Movie Studio 8.

I hope I can get these little issues resolved because I'm looking forward to using the new effects and transitions as well as using the Forge program. My Movie Studio 8 worked great... the 9 is frustrating me a little bit

Thanks

For the first problem, it sounds like a bug. Uninstall all Vegas versions completely and re-install Platinum.

For the second problem, check here: http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2008/12/19/sony-vegas-hints-and-tips/

I went to the link, but I don't see my issue discussed there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several time. No Luck.

As I was trying to get the transitions and effects to show up when clicking on the effects icon on a film clip (Movie Studio 9), I tried uninstalling - reinstalling everything (Movie Studio, DVDA, & Sound Forge) and deleting the Sony folders in Program Files (I thought by getting rid of everything that reinstalling the current upgrade of Movie Studio 9 would only install the necessary components to run the three programs).

So, here is where I am: Movie Studio (Platinum 9) opens but there are no effects/transitions in the plug-in chain; DVDA will not open at all - it just hourglasses for a few seconds and that's it; and Sound Forge starts to open, but when the loading sentences at the bottom of the splash screen gets to VST plug-ins, it stops loading completely.

I know I screwed this up, so I'm not going to say, "Spend all this money on a program and it doesn't work blah...blah..blah.."

Yes, it is. It's the preview speed section. How could you miss it?
