I want my money back.

I am so fed up with trying to get Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6.0 to work I want my money back. This is the worst experience I have ever had with video capture. I am gong back to Ulead and open source video capture. I spent the money on the software 6 months ago and didn't install until last week. Now this.

Where do I go to get my money back. Future Shop in Canada is where I purchased the prog. I still have the receipt. I don't have time to sit on a forum and wait till someone comes along with the solution. If I pay the money for the program I want it to work. I should bill Sony for my wasted time.
Whats with Sony any way. I heard they were planting spyware on peoples computers and screwing them up. Is this what is going on here?

I you would tell us what the problem really is, then maybe people will be able to help...

What exactly is wrong with capture? If you are using DV, VMS6 should work fine with your camera. If it is HDV, you will be much better off with VMS 8 instead of 6, or, the freeware HDVSplit.

How about defining "this", and what is actually happening?

I have had no issues with the software, and I use it extensibly.

Started with VMS Platinum 6, and upgraded to 7.

Future Shiop in Canada is where you would go for a return.

Since Sony has not engaged your services, billing would be a mute point. Also, again, no details of the actual problem exist for any troubleshooting to take place.

Have you placed a message with Sony's support, explaining the issue?

Have you asked the forums here for tips/info/ideas on what the issue is?

Without specifics, this comes across as a child's tantrum, with no expectation that the issue be fixed you are angry about.

This is actually from some audio CD titles that are trying to enforce copyrights with CDs.

I don't know many details, but the decision was reversed after an uproar.

Companies often try to find way to protect their intellectual property, and sometimes they take draconian measures.

Not so much Spyware, but using a trojan-horse like technique.

BTW, They are NOT doing this with their software products.

It is up front that there is an activation process, just like 95% of commercial software on the market.

What you "heard" was hysterics based on a questionable technique to prevent piracy of an artist's music.

1. Tell us what the issue actually is.
2. Provide evidence for your claims of outright Spyware, or Spyware within the software.
3. Calm down and note the complexity of software such as this.
