I wish there was....

I wish there was a centralized repository to host available scripts for Vegas, where script developers could upload their scripts and users could browse through available scripts to easier find something that may work for the task they're trying to achieve.

Does such a thing exists?

The way I find scripts is typically through individual forum topic discussions, a user may post/link one for me during a discussion after I describe a task I'm trying to achieve or by stumbling across a 3rd party developer who has their own website. It would certainly be nice to be able to go to a single website page, browse through available free and purchasable Vegas scripts created by multiple developers. If it's a purchasable script, then provide a direct link to the developers website for purchase would work well.

I really feel this is a key reason the scripting functionality built into Vegas has not been more embraced by the typical non programming user. Other than this discussion forum specific to scripting, there's really nothing to better assist the user in gaining their interest of using more scripting functionality.

I'll also add, I own a product called Media Monkey, which is a music library organization media player and also has a scripting feature built into it. That developer created a Wiki page so users could better find scripts and I've observed on their forums, scripting just seems to be much more embraced than what I've seen from the Vegas user community. I've also seen where if a particular script becomes very popular among the userbase, the developer will implement that script directly into the program as a menu item selectable feature. I've actually have used many more scripts in Media Monkey than I have for Vegas despite Vegas being around much longer, and myself using Vegas more often.

This also holds true for Sound Forge Pro which also has scripting support.
