i9-8950HK GTX 1050 VS i7-7700HQ GTX 1070

Which will give me better performance in Vegas pro; a i9-8950HK with a GTX 1050 or a i7-7700HQ with a GTX 1070?

I understand that Vegas can utilise the GPU, but which combination would be best?

1050/1070 not too far apart, same generation. i7/i9 different generations. I'd get the i9.

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking, just don't want to make an expensive mistake. There are some new laptops coming out with the i9-8950HK and a GTX 1050; Dell xps 15 and the Asus Zenbook pro. I was also looking at gaming laptops, but I don't game, and I'm thinking that the new i9 CPU will give the most benefit.
