IEEE 1394 Hard Drives AND Video Capture at the same time?

I just had a friend of mine offer me a very good deal on an
IEEE 1394 Maxtor Hard Drive (80 GB), and I was thinking
about taking him up on it...

But, here is my question... would I be able to do a video
capture TO that hard drive, if BOTH were hooked up to my
Firewire card? Does anybody know of any issues that would
be involved with doing a video capture AND accessing that
drive at the same time?

Any information would be greatly appreciated... although I
will probably go ahead and get the drive anyhow.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi Brad,

I have the same set up on a PYRO Firewire card, P3 866,
256RAM, Sony TRV11, it is working great.
