If you've done this already then apologies in advance.

Firstly: Have you done a file search on your pc? I presume you have as you are asking, "I can't locate it now".

Secondly: This will give you control of where those pesky files may be sleeping!

Okay.....
While in the capture program, select Options > Preferences > Disk Managment Tab. Now you can confirm; create; delete and generally organise your preferred folder/s for capturing. Neat eh!

Sometimes I've had a real problem with my extenal firewire drives, but this was down to me for not switching them on first before firing up VF. What this resulted in was that VF told me that I hadn't a Device for capturing available! Which was blatantly not true. What it should have said was "Idiot - you aint connected any Drive F or G! So wake up and smell the coffee... and get with the program GRAZIE!" - But no... it came back with a fairly misleading error message saying I hadn't connected said capture device.... hey ho! Was it ever thus with "error" messages...

Regards

Grazie

I had the same problem, This was the answer I got and it worked.

Thanks for writing. Go to Options/Preferences in Video Capture and disable
the "Minimum Clip Length" preference on the "Capture" tab. You shouldn't
have that problem anymore after doing this. If you have any further
questions, please feel free to contact us by e-mail or call any of our
customer service reps from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST at 1-800-577-6642.
