Ignite Pro causing crash when starting Vegas 16.

Ignite Pro not A Supported Host.

FHHome Responce:

Helo,

Thank you for contacting FXhome. Vegas 16 is not currently a supported host for Ignite Pro, it supports versions 14 and 14 of Vegas. Thank you for sending over that log though, as we work to ensure compatibility with Vegas 16 for the future, it is useful to have that sort of report from users who are running into compatibility issues. I will ensure that it is passed on to the developers so they an look into the issue.

Regards,

That's a strange comment from the FXHome support. They must have licensed the software to Magix in order for it to be included in the bundle. It is therefore a de-facto "supported" host whether they like it or not.

Sounds to me like someone is trying to pass the buck. I guess we will hear more about this.

I do not have VP16 Suite yet. It is on my mind as a Christmas gift to myself. But one of the reasons for considering it is Ignite Pro so am curious as to other's experience who have VP16.

I too think that Ignite Pro was tested with VP16 before release to insure compatibility. Strange HF's response in deed considering on their own web page, it says it's compatible with VP14 and VP15.

Apart from one issue with hitfilm ignite pro, where I had to uninstall Hitfilm and reinstall...touch wood it works well. Well worth the purchase price. The effects are very useable for a multiplicitous of uses.

I am using a previously purchased standalone version of Ignite Pro. Just updated today for sheets & giggles to V3.1 but everything plays just fine in VP16.

I remember having Version/Bundling issues before with Magix and 3rd Parties (and yes I do remember Axel and our multipage customer support emails!!) , so hence I now stay away from any bundled version-update-compatibility nightmare...everyone always points the finger in the other direction, and you, the customer, are the one having to suck it!
