Image quality in Monitor

I'm planning to upgrade my cptr to a core2 quad.

If I get a good video card with 3 HDMI ouputs, and a good third monitor (thinking Dell 20-inch HD Widescreen), for preview, how good will the preview be?

I want to have a preview that's as close possible to what my final DVD will look like.

But right now, with a plain Core2 processor and 2 monitors, I have to keep my preview window set to "Preview" or even "Draft" when the timeline gets a little dense, and I'm never sure how accurate my preview is.

So how can I get accurate previews?

thanks in advance

A RAM render or a prerender (depending on the length of what I need to see) are my tools of choice for this purpose.

Yeah, but they're so slow I feel like I'm in Final Cut or Premier . . .

Try doing it on a P1-200 (my first Vegas computer).
Things will speed up when you get your new computer so you'll have to be patient a bit longer.
BTW, if you can afford it, go with a machine with an i7 processor.
The big box stores are almost giving them away these days :-)
