Images and simulated thickness...

Just curious as to whether anyone would be able to direct me on this:

Say I have a photoshop image and I want to rotate it on a Z axis, what would I need to make the image look "think?"

Not just a 0 thickness rotating image, but an image with seeming thickness.

That is the only way I can think to describe it.

Thanks!

We used to do it years ago with Ampex ADO by building up layer upon layer of the same effect with a slight offset. You could do this with Vegas, but it would be easier with a 3D effects programme if you have one.

I'd do it with Lightwave (which is overkill) but there are a lot of cheaper and simpler 3D packages out there.

Others can probably recommend a good low-end one that would do.

Cheers

PluginPac 3D might do what you want. It's free. Download from here:

I *do* have PlugIn Pac, but unfortunately, I do not see the feature I need.

Thanks anyway... :)

Ya know, I have Cool 3D Studio, but never use it.

I will take a closer look at what I already own... :)

Thanks!
