Images screen height

I cannot seem to sus out why images I embed in my videos fall short of the top of the screen.
I have a portable DVD player for testing and it is wide screen. I am not renedering wide screen so the stuff gets stretched horizontally. I don't have a problem with that, but the video I have made has lots of images and although I go use pan & zoom on most of them, when I play the dvd the video goes to the top of the screen, but the images have a gap (black line) of about 10% top and bottom.
Any ideas

While the image is in the Pan/Crop window right click on the image. A menu will display. Click Match Aspect ratio.

Yep thanks for the quick response I have 2 ratio matches, I presume I should match output ratio.
