Not sure what you're driving at, here Grazie, but I do this all the time.

What happens? Nothing special. Let's say I log a bunch of in-points and out-points and then batch capture. If I happened to have stopped and restarted the camera in the middle of an in and out point, Video Capture simply breaks the clip into two clips at that point. One clip starts at the in point I set and stops where the camera stopped. The next clip starts where the camera started again, and stops where I set the out point. Both have the same comment and other info, but will have sequential clip numbers (002 & 003, for example).
