Import a project in another project

Hi all,
in Ulead Media Studio I work usually with several small projects (for performance reasons), which I import into a new big project to make the final render. In Vegas video 3 I can only import the media files used in a existing project, but not the whole project, right? Is there a work around?
In Media Studio I can render the final DV Video in DV-type1 and DV-type2. In Vegas Video the output is always type2, isn't it?
Kind regards
Max

You can open up two instances of Vegas, load a smaller project into one of the windows, highlight everything on the timeline (or at least what you want to import), copy it, then paste into the other window's timeline. This isn't perfect; some adjustments will probably have to be made and generated media & keyframes often don't copy well. It may be good enough for what you need though. The other option is to render the smaller projects to DV .avi files, then load these .avi files into a new project.
