Absolutely! This tool in the Vegie Toolkit allows me to import logs from text files originally created in Word. I use this to import Media100 PowerLogs all the time now. t is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread!
Vegas is sort of limited in this regard. Although you can copy and paste to and from the edit details window it just isn't flexible.
What the clip logger script does is parse out a log that you may have created in Word (and then exported as plain text) and then put those logged clips on the timeline as events. That also gives you the clips in the media pool as offline media. From there you can recapture the media. Vegas puts the media listings into the vidcap file at that point.
It's working backwards but it really works great for me. We've got about three years of logged instructional footage and I can import it to the timeline from those logs. The files will have the shot description as a file name and can also have the tape name included with that file name.
It would sure be nice if Vegas came with tools that would import and export text files to a spec you need. It could map fields and then save that mapping as a preset so that later I could import a text file and use my previously saved "Product XYZ" field map.
