IMPORT DIRECT TV

I WOULD LIKE TO EDIT PROGRAMS I RECORDED ON MY DIRECT TV HD DVR THAT HAVE DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 SOUND . HOW DO I IMPORT IT FROM MY HD DVR DIRECTLY INTO SONY VEGAS 9 , KEEPING THE 5.1 AUDIO ? BOTH MY DVR AND COMPUTER HAVE HDMI .

For PVR material, you will probably need to re-index GOPs due to to transmission errors. VideoRedo is designed to do this, and removes commercials too (is that what you wanted to do?)

As far as getting the recorded files off your PVR and on to your computer, Google is your friend.
