Import DVD files to Vegas

I have video from an analog camcorder that I copied onto a DVD-R. It plays on Windows Media Player just fine. When I try to import the files to Vegas there are many formats and file sizes. Which ones do I import?

Use the File / Import / DVD camcorder disc function. This will take care of all the details for you.
