import dvd mpeg problems

In the studio where I work we often get media on dvd - Rather than capture it analog which we nornally would do - we've been trying the import dvd disc feature - it seems to rip it fine - but when we pull them to the timeline it always crashed vegas -

we've worked around it buy taking those ripped mpegs to prem pro & rendering the sections we need to avi from there - but it adds to the workflow -

any ideas?

Are you working in build 210/6d?

yes - I am using 6.0d (build 210) and just this morning when ripping some footage a missionary gave us on a dvd-r, it ripped fine, but when I tried to load it onto the timeline it loaded, but no "thumbnails" on the video track - then when I went to play it crashed

I was having a similar problem with 6.0d when I ripped video from customer dvds. I removed 6.0d and replaced it with 6.0c and I have not had anymore problems. Iwish sony would fix the problem in 6.0d
