import jpeg clip length

hi guys
i m currently doing some family photo albums and try to burn a vcd.
my question, when i import a jpeg file, can i specific the length of the file instead of dragging it to time. just want to see if there is any shortcut i can save some time doing that. basically i want to import around 150 jpeg pics with the same time length on each picture.
thanks

Choose Options > Preferences > Editing tab > New still image length and enter a value. This value sets the length of a still image when you add it to the timeline. If you want to drop a bunch of images at once on the timeline and have them overlap (crossfade), select the "Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added" check box. You can set the length of the crossfade in the "Amount" box in the "Cut to overlap conversion" section of the Editing tab.

Hope this helps.

one more question.
can i apply the same transition for the whole video track at the same time as well?
what i want is, make the transition between 2 pictures the same all the way.
thanks again.

Hmmm...don't know of an easy way to do this. Once you get a transition set up the way you like it, you can save it as a preset (so you don't have to customize any settings more than once), but then you still have to drag the transition to each of the crossfades in your project.

that means i have to drag the transition to the crossfades many many times......=(
estimated 60-80 times. poor me!

Yeah, i know.

But even still, it would be nice if we could select a number of events (crossfades) and use one drag to apply an effect to all of them at once. maybe in Vegas 4 ... ;)
