vegas does not support SWF. You probably get that support from a third party codec, which obviously is not very solid.

Uh... yeah it does. File Import... right there.

Also listed as a feature on the product site...

"Import AVI, DV, SWF, and MPEG 1 & MPEG 2 files"

Which brings up the question again... why doesn't it support bitmaps in the SWF files?

Just to finish the thread... This seems related to the SWF output version. Flash 6 and previous will not render the bitmaps on import while Flash 9 will.

Ugh, why were you running Flash 6? Version 10 is almost out. And the SDK for Flash 7 is out for years now. So I don't understand why either you, or Sony, used Flash 6 for anything.
