does it happen to be 'protected' QT file or a QT file that plays inside a frame ?

Apple (bless them) makes a tool accually to remove protection from such files for PC users only (why ? no idea)


Do you have the latest QT installed ?

What codec does the QT fiel use ? Does it play from the player ok ? If so - resave it out as another format (lossless) ...

I am using QuickTime Pro. The video plays fine with the QuickTime player. I created the video myself and didn't see anywhere there is copy protection.

what codec are you using in QT ?

really - it should not mater ... Vegas should play it ..

you could try reinstalling vegas and/or QT

It is called Apple Dumpster ...

and at least version 4 of sony vegas also was apple to be used without Dumpster on many clips (like the BMW films)
