Hi all
If you installed the Acid Beta & haven't upgraded yet, you
might have problems rendering video in other Sonic Foundry
applications.
Video Factory may no longer allow you to customize avi file
settings; & Vegas Audio LE may not let you render avi
files. I suspect there might be problems with Vegas Audio &
Video as well, but haven't yet confirmed.
The source of the problem is a handful of plugins the Acid
Beta may have installed in the folder : C:\Program
Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-Ins\File Formats -- you
can tell by the file dates.
If you run other Sonic Foundry Programs, these files may
need to be replaced by the older versions. A simple
reinstall may not do it, since a well behaved installation
will not overwrite newer files, just as an uninstall may
not remove these files because they are shared.
If you can't reinstall the older plugins from a backup --
you do backup your system, don't you? ;-) -- deleting them
prior to a reinstall should work.
Hope this helps
