Importing Affter Effects Projects

Hi

I am using Vegas Pro 12 and was under the impression that Vegas Pro can import After Effects projects, so I puchased some templates from Footage Firm. When I try to import the projects, I see that is lists Premier/After Effects (*.prproj) and the file extensions on the projects that I am trying to import are (.aep) How does one go about this? Many thanks in advance.

Ken

from the After Effects manual:

"You can export an After Effects project as an Adobe Premiere Pro project. (See Export an After Effects project as an Adobe
Premiere Pro project.)"

On page 75 of the Sony Vegas Pro manual you will find the process for Importing the Adobe Premier Pro project.

You open them in After Effects and export them as a Premiere project. If you don't have After Effects hopefully you can get your money back for the templates you bought. It's a bit of a misnomer to have "After Effects" on the UI. Vegas Pro does not import After Effects projects; it only imports Premiere Pro projects.

Hi

Thanks for the information. I am in South Africa, so to return the discs and get a refund would be a problem. I know someone that works in After Effects so I will see if he can do the conversion / export for me.

Cheers
