importing audio files w/ take information (V7)

I did some ADR over the past week using Spots "get looped" tutorial techniques. I looped my recording, and created takes within each audio file. My computer would crash every now and then, and the most recent takes would not be saved on the timeline, but would still be on disk. I am now trying to put these clips back in the timeline, but have been unable to insert them and have the act the same as the other clips w/ takes. Specifically, once re-inserted I cannot use the keyboard shortcuts or right-clicking to select a different take. Is there something I can do to get this to work?

Also, I never realized how great Vegas is at ADR until reading Spot's great tut, and trying it my self.

Aloha,

Gabe

How are you adding them back? You should be dragging them with the Right mouse button (not the left) and when you drop them select Add as takes. This will make them just like the others takes.

Johnny, I just tried doing it the way you suggested, but it still imports all the takes as one long audio file, marked with the green "take" markers. But even if I drag it back to the length of a single take, I am not able to use the keyboard shortcuts (T and shift + T) to toggle between the different takes as I can w/ the files which never left the timeline.

Thanks,

Gabe
