importing AVCHD

Trying to download from Sony HD AVCHD camera- Keep getting the message"Error occured while opening one or more files. The file is most likely corrupted or of unknown format." I can download onto Vegas from another computer in the house, but not from this one.

How are you downloading your AVCHD file(s) from your camcorder? And, what is the name of the file(s) you are trying to load into Vegas? (I'm mainly interested in the filename extension... is it .MTS, for instance, or .m2ts?)

The method I use is just to directly copy the files from my AVCHD camcorder with Windows Explorer onto my computer hard drive. Once I have the file(s) on my computer's hard drive, I then choose them from within Vegas.
