Importing but no audio Hitachi DVD/HDD Camera

I am trying to help my friend do some video and his video is on a HItachi DVD/HDD Camera. I go to import from DVD/HDD Camera and let it import a couple clips and hit stop but there is no audio on those clips, only video.

Anyone know how to fix this?

To start with, you should install the software that comes with the camera. If it is any good, it will install the necessary codec in order for it to work with Vegas.
If you did, and you still have the problem, install the K-lite codec pack. If you're lucky, it will do the job.
