I've got some 2d camera tracking info I'd like to import yo Vegas. How do I do that. I can't seem to find anything resembling a "marker" which can have keyframed. The track motion enables me to do a PIP but should I work with that and do a zero size picture?
I must admit to not having a clue about what you are talking about. I suspect that means that I can personally be of no help to you anyway... but I am nonetheless interested in finding out just what exactly you are talking about. Can you elaborate a bit?
Are you trying to get Vegas to place a PIP of one video over the top of another video based upon some "data" that you have in some format or other? If that is really what you are trying to do (or something like it)... what feature of Vegas was you thinking of using that coulld handle that sort of thing automatically?
I have a scene where camera pans slowly the scenery. I'd like to place credits -text to pan with the video. For example the original M*A*S*H movie has opening credit start that way - many other movies do the same.
After Effects has a camera tracking feature bult it. Vegas does not but if you use a third party tracker you can get the 2d X,Ydata in a text file. I was thinking of writing a script to import that data.
I've had the same idea. I started making a script, and while it would have worked I still did the effect in another app anyway - it was just faster for that one-time deal.
