Importing Flip video to Movie Studio 11 (mediainfo

I have an older Flip camera with lots of video I want to edit in my recently purchased Vegas Home Srudio HD 11.0. I searched Forums and downloaded MediaInfo. Here is what MediaInfo tells me about my Flip videos:

AVI: 25.4 MiB, 1mn 0s
1 video stream: MPEG-4 Visual (XviD)
3 352 Kbps, 640*480 (4:3), at 30.000 fps. MPEG-4 Visual (XviD)
(Advanced Simple@L5) (BVOP2)

1 audio stream: ADPCM
176.4 Kbps, 44.1 KHz, 4 bits, 1 channel, ADPCM

Error message from Home Movie 11: Warning: An error occurred while opening one or more of these files. An error occurred while opening a codec.

I am not very computer literate, so I would appreciate step-by-step remedy for importing these files into Movie Studio 11, if possible. Thank you!

Download a divx/xvid vfw codec from its developer site.

Thank you! I wasn't sure which developer you meant -- Flip or Movie Studio -- but I just did a search for divx/xvid vfw codec and got this page: http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html
and realized that you meant the codec's developer (which I never would've guessed -- not really even knowing what a codec is :)

Anyway, I downloaded and installed Xvid Codec 1.3.2, restarted my computer, and when I reopened Home Studio it was able to import the Flip videos.

Thank you! Rick aka Hog Branch
