Try the Riva FLV encoder. Works like a gem.

Simply encode into an avi, then import into Vegas.

Also have the Riva FLV player, also a free download.

I'd go with ffmpeg. It supports encoding in Huffyuv lossless codec, and then after you have installed that codec on your Windows, Vegas will be able to open it -- and you won't have lose any quality in the transition. The only downside is figuring out ffmpeg and how to encode with it.

Super is ffmpeg.

Super is a windows GUI for ffmpeg.

It's not pretty whatsoever, but it is a GUI.
