Hi,
I'm new to Sony Vegas and in need of a little help. I would like to know which steps I need to take to import/export video back and fourth from Pro 8a and DVD Architect Pro 4.5?
Also is there anyone that knows of good training tutorials for these two programs?
Your help would be most appreciated. Thanks, Ray
DVDA is an authoring tool. It can accept lots of different types of media files and, if necessary, converts them to the correct format for DVD players. Media is not really exported to or imported into but rather is attached to or assembled into your DVDA project file. DVDA is a tool to create a structure to PLAY the media. In DVDA what you create are menus, submenus, buttons, playlists, chapter markers etc. with text and images that form the DVD's navigation scheme to PLAY the media the user chooses.
There are many many technical things about making a DVD that this forum and the DVDA forum can help you with. For Standard Def stereo DVD's, the most common suggestion is to render your Vegas project as Mainconept MPEG-2 using the DVD NTSC Video stream template. This has no sound so you must render it for sound, generally choosing AC3 with the Stereo template. But be aware that you can render in many other formats (AVI for example) and DVDA will convert all the media files to the correct DVD format for DVD players.
Keep pluging. Vegas and DVDA are a great combination. Worth the time investment to get up to speed.
Hello - yes go to www.youtube.com and just type in" DVD archetic" or "sony vegas pro 8" (in the search box)and you will find lots of basic training videos there. Enjoy!
