Importing H.264 Files

I'm having a few issues importing transport stream HD files into VP8 that have been encoded with a H.264 CODEC.

In a QuickTime container not all frames are being displayed, so I wondered if anyone had any luck either specifying a different CODEC such as FFDShow or using another program to create intermediaries, perhaps using Cineform?

Are you running Vegas Pro 8.0a? There were some issues with reading H.264 files that were fixed in the QuickTime plug-in in the 8.0a update.

Yes, I'm running 8a. I'm not able to get this file to play reliably in Vegas via any method, so I'm having to create an intermediary (to Cineform) in VirtualDub using the CoreAVC CODEC.
