Importing JPEG

I need to include different graphics into Vegas. How do you control different graphics, and import them properly with Vegas, or do I need plug-in/third party software to format graphics/logos, so I can apply them? All the graphics come in either jagged or size themselves to 720x480, which is the size of my project.

Can you size and position .jpeg in Vegas?

Pan/Crop works nicely for this. Either right-mouse-button click on the picture on the timeline and choose "Video Event Pan Crop" or click the small icon at the right edge of the clip that looks like cropping lines. This will open up the Pan/Crop window. You'll see your photograph and a dashed line that represents the video frame. The first thing you should do is right-mouse-button click in that window and choose "Match output aspect". This will crop the image to the same shape as the frame which is usually very helpful.

If you want to zoom in on the picture drag the corners of the dashed line in towards the center. if you want to zoom out drag the dashed line out larger. Setting the Zoom(%) under Workspace can give you more room to work with when you are zooming out. You can position the image in the frame by dragging the dashed line around.
