Hello, everyone! I'm having an issue importing video to Vegas.

Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 10.0 (Build 179)
Video: MP4
Basically, when I attempt to import an MP4 video that's around 60-90 minutes in length, either using the Import function or drag-and-drop, Vegas freezes up and ultimately gives me the "Vegas is not responding" message.
My system meets requirements, as I've had no issue before, but this is the first time I've had to edit from such a large file before, and am now running into this problem. Has anyone had an issue like this before?
I already looked for updates I might have been missing, and I'm up to day with my version of Vegas. Unable to upgrade to 12 at this point in time.
