Importing MP2G media from a MAC

I need help with opening an MP2G file created in a MAC sytem and I believe Final Cut. It won't open in either the project timeline or the trimmer. It will only play in the player. When I go to look at the file attributes there aren't as many as seen with MPG files rendered
im Vegas.

What player?
You may need to export it, from whatever player you're talking about, to another format that's more Vegas friendly.

Use QuickTime Pro to export to your preferred format.

Did you render as .mpg or as .mov?

When you say it works in the player do you mean on Mac or Windows?

It plays in WIndows Media player, Nero, etc. I do not have a MAC
so I don't know but assume it does since it was rendered by another
who uses a MAC.
