importing mp2v (aka mpv2) into Movie Studio 3

I have been unable to import mp2v/mpv2 (MPEG-2 video-only streams) into ScreenBlast Movie Studio 3.0a. Can anyone confirm that this file type isn't supported?

Does anyone know of any free or low-cost software that will take an mp2v file and output an mpg2 file without re-encoding the MPEG-2 data?

VF can handle the audio stream but not the video - I'd assume the same is true for MS3. I think there are tools that will do what you want under Linux, but I don't know of any WinOS tools.

Don't know about MS but Vegas won't accept single streams. Try renaming the file as a .MPG and retry. If this doesn't work, just rename it back and try to convert it using VirtualDub.

Unfortunately, neither of those works.
