Importing MP4 files from a Sony Ericsson

I'm running 9.0b and when I import MP4 video files from my mobile phone, all I get is the video. MediaInfo tells me its an AAC encode - which I thought Vegas could handle.
The file plays fine in Quicktime and VLC on the same PC. Anyone got any ideas how I can get Vegas to recognise the audio? I thought installing Quicktime should have done it, but no. Please help!

Derm, thanks for that. I thought I'd searched high and low on these forums, but must have missed that one.
How obscure is that? The latest version of QT doesn't interface correctly with Vegas properly (it would seem) and the audio is marked as Offline. That's exactly what I'm getting, now I look more closely. I'll see if I can go back to the previous QT version, if possible.

I dont believe this is a Vegas issue, I think its a protection mechanism in QT.

3GP files often need to be transcoded with another application, regardless of the version of Quicktime you have installed. Super by Erightsoft or Format Factory both work for me.

Thanks guys. The older version of QT works just fine now.
Looks like I'll have to transcode eventually. There's no way I can stick with this version forever. Many thanks for the links.

Thanks musicvid, but I went to their site and although you can select older versions, it warns you: "Download doesn't provide access to previous versions of this program."
I had a previous copy anyway, so all's well. Of course, I'd rather use something other than Apple's invasive program. I just need the codecs after all, none of the 'Update services', 'Bonjour', 'Application Support' nonsense.
