I am using Vegas Pro 15 and am looking to buy a new camcorder, and want to make sure Vegas Pro imports the 4K video. It is Panasonic MP4/2160p(72M) (72Mbps / VBR), (3840 x 2160/30p). Does anyone know if this imports to Vegas Pro 15?

I got my new Panasonic HC-VX870K, and I am glad to report every format that the camera creates can be import and read by Vegas Pro 15, AVCHD, iFrame / MP4, and 4K MP4.
It is standard AVCHD format, which I still use too (Sony-line cameras)... and highly compatible... - and glad to hear for your environment as well.
I was concerned about MP4/2160p(72M), as I have tried to import some MP4 files from phones and Vegas Pro didn't like it, but no problem, it went in just fine.

There have been many comments over the years on this forum that many phone video formats are in Variable Frame Rate, but Vegas Pro doesn't handle VFR very well. The main suggestion is to first convert VFR phone footage to Constant Frame Rate via a transcode utility such as HandBrake or similar.
