importing projects

Hello, I am new to Vegas (i am coming from Premiere 6... soooo easy). My question is: I have a large project to build using vegas, so I want to build it in parts, then when each part is done, combine all of these "projects" into one final project...... how do I do this (open/import a project into a new project)?

My second question: when I use velocity envelopes to slow the speed of a clip, why doesnt the audio slow as well?? i have had to slow the audio separately from the video, which is a pain to get it to match the timing and speed of the altered video.

Any help is appreciated.

I build long video compilations like this - open a second instance of Vegas and open one of your 'sub-videos'. Control-A to select all, copy, then paste into the first instance of vegas. etc. It's a REALLY fantastic feature of Vegas.

Having adjusted your video envelope, switch to the encelope edit tool and select the region of video envelope you want to duplicate. Copy that and paste it into the audio envelope.

If you place the cursor at the left edge of the clip the pasted envelope will be in sync with the video. Copying and pasying envelopes this way can save many many hours.
