Improved Rendering

I read a short description on a software called X-Factor by GridlineSoftware.com that was made for After Effects which claims you can increase rendering speed with multiple computers. Is there any software out there with the likes of assisting in increasing rendering and or preview times?

You can already link computers together for rendering using Vegas alone.

This software claims to perform faster than linking via a render farm isn't that what Vegas does?
