In Vegas Pro 16 the program stops when I select Render As.

The problem is on my desktop unit, HP Pavilion HPE H8-1214 running 16GB RAM on Windows 10 64bit. I have the same program (Vegas Pro 16) on my HP Envy Laptop with 16GB RAM using Windows 10 64bit running with no problems.

I have uninstalled the program,downloaded the install file again, and reinstalled... same issue. I downloaded and installed a copy of Vegas Pro 8; it works properly.

I have made sure the program has been reset to defaults. No change. Suggestions? Help...

It does it in Vegas 18, too. Common Vegas issue. You can fix it by switching to Adobe Premiere. I just wasted hours again to try to get a render to work. No help from Magix unfortunately.

@Lee23

Are there some differences between all the hardware on both? Not only RAM and Windows versions are important, also used drivers a.s.o.

@Alexander-Ehrath
That was not the question of the OP because there was no question for other software.

You tried the same project with the same media and same version of Vegas?
Can you detail the laptop hardware?

My guess is GPU drivers? VP 8 was before GPU support I believe. If updating graphics drivers (Intel and AMD or NVIDIA if it has both) doesn't work, you can try disabling GPU acceleration in preferences and setting dynamic ram preview to 0MB. It's strange that the program just stops, though.
