While transferring some tracks from ACID to Vegas I found a
huge inconsistency between how ACID and Vegas pan stereo
tracks.
ACID's pan control behaves like a standard pan control on a
stereo. 100% left outputs only the stereo track's left
channel to the left stereo bus channel and 100% right
outputs only the stereo track's right channel to the right
stereo bus channel.
Vegas' pan control MIXES the two channels. 100% left
outputs the stereo track's left AND right channel mixed to
the left stereo bus channel and 100% right does the same
mixing to the stereo bus right channel.
Is this a bug or on purpose? The Vegas method is difficult
to use to control the imaging of the signal.
