Hey, yall,
I'm looking for some advice regarding inconsistent playback of DVD's made with DVD Architect 1d. I burn my DVD using a Sony DRU-510 internal burner on 4.7g DVD-R media. (I also have similar problems with HP +RW media, too.)My machine is an AMD 1.7ghz Athlon with 1g RAM running XP Pro with all the latest updates. I don't use the machine for anything else while actually rendering/prepping/burning the DVD.
My problem is this: When playing back a finished DVD, the colors will sometimes be washed out or "'bloomed." Not on all TV's or with all DVD players. Some machines play beautifully, others look like the 'brightess contol' is turned up all the way. Colors are pastel and cannot be corrected by adjusting brightness on TV. Am I missing a setting or could this be hardware related? (I use NTSC fullscreen and render mpeg-2 from Vegas 4.0e.)
Advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
