Increase character size in the user interface.

Could anyone please tell me how to increase the font size of the user interface. The characters are displayed so small that one has to squint all the time to read them. Thanks.

Unfortunately, short of buying a larger monitor or decreasing the resolution on your current one, that's not possible.

Fortunately, a big, bright 23" monitor can now be had for about $150! You'll be amazed how much you'll appreciate the extra real estate!

This should be controlled by the Windows font size settings. For Windows XP, go to Display Propertie / Settings / Advanced / General. You can change the DPI setting to a larger number to get bigger text on your desktop and this should also change everything in Vegas too. I'm not sure where to find this in newer versions of Windows but it should be something similar.

Note that a lot of the Vegas UI is designed around a specific font size so making the fonts bigger may create some havoc, with parts of words being cut off or overlapping other things. If it's too messy just go back to the original size.
