I thought that limit was removed? Is there another place? I need x8 or x12 or even more

Sure. From the free VP17 Users Manual:

Preferences - Editing Tab > “Choose a setting from the drop-down list to set the speed that will be used for scrubbing the timeline with the JKL keys or with a multimedia controller.

Top speed of x20.

Cool. Does that work for an individual clip? Not sure if scrubbing the timeline means the same thing. I didn't specify properly in my first question.

If you need more you can always use the velocity rubber band, which goes up to 10x higher still. If being non-destructive isn't important, you can also ctrl+click & drag the edges of the clip to speed it up even more.

Thanks, I will check out the Velocity - maybe that is where it is, because properties and CTRL Drag dont go past 4X. (I'm on the latest 353)
