I am very new to all this but have finally made my first good SVCD home movie. I just thought I would share how I achieved my sucess with others. I tried many different things but finally came to these results.
1. Use VF to download all your video and edit it how you want add any special stuff.
2. Render this completed version to a AVI on your hard drive.
3. Pay the money and buy NERO burning software and Mpeg2 plug in.
4.Create your cd in nero by choosing SVCD and default setup then sit back and wait and wait and wait. It takes a while for a 40min to rerender but it was worth the wait. The end result was a very good quality movie. Except for a few errors by the editor...
5. Before rendering anything watch and double watch your video in VF before rendering it!!
