Informal Get-Together of Northern California Vegas Users Around VASST Training?

As the number of Vegas users grows, maybe there are enough folks in the San Francisco Bay Area to begin getting together periodically. Since the VASST Tour will be in San Mateo on May 27th (Sony Vegas 5.0) and May 28th (Sony Acid for Digital Video), perhaps some would be interested in kicking off an informal Northern California Vegas Users Group by getting together one of the evenings around the VASST training.

I live only about one mile from the VASST venue, and I will offer to host the get-together at my home if there is enough interest. I’m thinking we order some pizza and talk about some interesting stuff around V5 and DVD2. I have a humble but working studio in my house, so we could have some people demo tips and tricks, etc. If we’re lucky, we may be able to get one or more of the VASST people to show up and demo a few tricks themselves.

So I’m looking for the level of interest in terms of how many people might want to attend such a get-together. If you would be genuinely interested and would be able to attend, please send me an e-mail at jcgoodpasture at aol dot com. Although I believe the evening of the 27th would be the best since it is nested in between the 2 training days, PLEASE INDICATE WHICH OF THE EVENINGS YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO ATTEND/PREFER (26th, 27th, 28th).

If it all comes together on Monday/Tuesday, Jessie, we'll announce an event the evening before the training, most likely in the same location. Can't give you more details just yet. With NAB just ending, we're still in the process of heading home and prepping for the tour. It's a challenge bringing all the details together in such a short time, but we'll be there with bells on. (Or Boxxes, since we're traveling with BOXX computers)
More info to be released the moment we are permitted to say more.

I'm usually too slammed to get away for an entire day for the Vasst training but an evening the night before would be great.
