Inkscape: Free alternative to Illustator

A nice, free open source alternative to Adobe Illustator, for those who have to create scalabe vector graphic (.svg) files. Exports to png format.

What a valuable site!

I just whizzed through the tutorials. Even if you DON'T d/l the free FREE program, the tutorials are excellent esp. the one on design : Elements & Principles of Design. For those newbies "striking-out" in this biz, I'd really suggest you read it.
