Input device order problem

Previously described, and Peter H asays it's a windows thing and can't be fixed (IIRC) . A MOTU 2408/2 and TB Santa Cruz. The SC always pops itself in at Input Device #2, so my MOTU inputs are not contiguous -very annoying.

Now the tricky bit - to get rid of it (the SC is only used to carry a DB50XG at present) select in XP Audio properties 'Do noT USe Audio Featuers On This Device', and the audio features of *all* devices are turned off, and vice-versa. This can't be normal ? Any ideas ?

What is your default sound device set to in the Windows Control Panel Sound and Multimedia setup? Do you have it set up for "Use only this device"?

Are you seeing this in Vegas 4 beta? I would recommend the ASIO drivers for the MOTU before the Wave/WDM emulation drivers.
