What do you mean by "not work"?
Input monitoring will only work with plug-ins that that have sample input/output sample consistency. This means that the same number of samples input by the plug-in and then processed by the plugin are output by the plug-in. Unfortunately not all Direct-X plugins do this and will not work correctly with Input Monitoring.

A plugin must be "in-place" inorder to work correctly with software input monitoring. An in-place plugin is one that takes X number of samples and IMMEDIATELY produces X number of samples out. If a plugin doesn't do this, the live input monitoring through the plugin will not work.
There is no work around for this type of plugin behavior.
Thanks for the quick reply. What I am trying to do is mix down to Vegas, while monitoring it through Wave Hammer(glitching), or L1 or L2 Maximizer(glitching), or Ozone (sound fine but not first choice). I figure that if Ozone (a real cpu hog) works smooth, the Waves plugs or the Wave Hammer should work.
Am I stuck?
I think you're stuck. The best you'll be able to do it mix to Vegas without input monitoring and then apply the loudness maximizing to the unprocessed recorded audio. That should be fine though.
