Inputing text problem.

I cannot figure out how to insert text into a frame in VV3 so that the text is ontop and you can still see the video in the background...Whenever I put text into my frames the background is black. How can I have text and still see the background picture? I checked my manual but can't find the answer anywhere.

Go to text/backgrounds tab...credit rolls...scrolling on transparent. you will see those squares behind the text...this means that if you place a text over the image, that the image will remain and the text will scroll over it. Mess with settings for the desired effect that you are looking for. Later.

I've actually tried that and it doesnt work..the background is still black. Im not sure if I have a setting screwed up or what the problem is.
