There are a couple of ways you can do this:

1. Drag and drop your video onto the main menu. You will get a graphic and some text. The graphic, by default, comes from the video, but it can be any graphic. Select this new link item, and on the "object" properties page, change the thumbnail to be whatever graphic you want.

2. Insert your graphic, then drag and drop the desired media onto the menu, and change the link from "Text and graphics" to "Text only". Now position the text as desired. You can also increase the size of the text box so that it surrounds your graphic, allowing the user to click on the graphic or the text to activate the link.

Hope this answers your question.

one more question guys.
let say i make a background pic(full size) in photoshop, have different thumbnails on one single pic, inport in DVD-A as a main menu. can i select individual thumbnail and have it linked to a media? this is one single background pic.
hope it is clear ;)

thanks

The best way I can think of is to go ahead and add your media, then change the thumbnail (as you did above) only this time change it to an image that has only an alpha channel being all transparent (this is easy to do in photoshop, and DVDA likes .psd files...). You can set the frame, change the highlighting, etc.. and your background picture will "show through".
