Inserting Background

NOKNOT wrote on 1/8/2016, 4:17 PM
I am using Architect 5. I have a project for the main movie. I took about a 30 second clip from the main movie and rendered it to use as a background. I would like for the finished DVD to open with the 30 second background clip playing and then open to the main movie. I have tried to right click but there is no choice to add as background and when I drag and drop it becomes another movie insert. Cannot figure out how to do this, thanks.

that clip needs to be on its own timeline. Then set it as first and link to main movie as end action

DVDAPro has a background which can be used in menus and pages of a project. It is a still frame ( which by the way is rendered into a small movie file, that is another story).

On the other hand to have a canvas of the screen be an actual imported video - then that is a video, not a component of the actual background, but rather a smother of the background. This is not recommended, because your video quality upon the render step will suffer, it will be computer intensive, and is not that good of look on a set-top player.

If you are looking for an effect where you present video and have a (transparent) menu button overlay - that is a function of DVDApro - quite efficient upon display - but you would to need to read-up on how to accomplish this... different issue entirely.

Hi NOKNOT,

Hope this helps......

Right click on your .dar......

Left click on Insert Introduction Media, then select your clip.....

If you want a video clip as background of a menu, double left click on link.....

Left click on Background Media, then in Video select a clip.
